Manex received the Governor’s Small Business Technical Assistance Expansion Program (SBTAEP) Grant, allowing Manex to deploy its manufacturing technical training and advisory programs to a broader audience. In our second year as a partner with CMTC and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA), Benen Manufacturing was able to work with Manex to utilize the small business grant and complete both Lean and Kaizen training. Manex will offer other services through the small business grant funding.
Benen Manufacturing is an Asian American woman-owned family machine shop. Founded in 2011, Benen Manufacturing has been a reliable partner for comprehensive manufacturing in the fields of semiconductor, automotive, medical research, biotech, contract manufacturing, automation, robotics, and other advanced technological fields. They support new product introduction (NPI), research and development (R&D), and production demands and fabricate from a wide range of metals and plastics. Benen Manufacturing is committed to support and provide solutions to their valued manufacturing partners with a focus on quality, on-time delivery and competitive pricing.
After receiving the small business grant and completing Kaizen and Lean training with Manex, Benen Manufacturing identified wasteful habits, implemented result-driven solutions, and achieved a cohesive team. They anticipate continued improvement and growth in the field of machining. Through the Lean and Kaizen training, Benen Manufacturing has achieved a 20% reduction of setup time and increased productivity by 25%. Aligning with their goal to improve, grow, and support customers, they will begin ISO certification training with Manex Consulting.
With this small business grant, Manex will serve between 25 and 30 small manufacturing companies through the end of August this year. Some will be larger and some will be smaller than Benen Manufacturing. Every company is very important to Manex and to the CalOSBA. Let us be your resource for success this year.
