Are you a current PG&E Customer? PG&E is offering a new Continuous Energy Improvement (CEI) program to help small and medium size manufacturers identify ways to save money by reducing electricity and natural gas usage.
PG&E’s CEI program offers participants training and tools to reduce energy intensity through comprehensive management and continuous improvement approaches. This program will challenge participants to:
- Identify and prioritize energy savings opportunities in their facilities
- Incorporate energy efficiency metrics into business operations
- Develop and implement actionable energy management strategies
- Identify energy champions within the organization that will facilitate (1), (2), and (3)
About the CEI Program:
- The CEI program is FREE to PG&E’s manufacturer customers
- This program is offered through a partnership with The Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence (Manex)
- In-person and online training options will be offered, focusing on common energy consuming equipment and energy efficiency opportunities
- All courses are taught by expert instructors with many years’ teaching experience
- Participants will have opportunities to engage in projects and share ideas with a cohort of managers and owners of similarly sized companies in related industries
- In addition to technical training, participation also includes valuable services such as personalized site visits and energy assessment
- There is NO COST to participate in the CEI program
About The Training:
There will be a total of Five Planned Cohorts. The cohorts will be a combination of online and classroom based training as well as onsite visits and energy assessments and audits.
There are a total of 14 Training Modules, covering a wide range of training and energy efficiency areas that include:
- Baseline Analysis
- Approach to energy efficiency
- Lighting Systems
- Motor Drive Systems
- Compressed Air Systems
- Fluid Flow Systems
- Steam Systems
- Process Heating / Cooling Systems
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Combined Heat and Power
- Lighting, Motors, HVAC, EMS/SCADA
- Energy Savings Opportunities
- Plant Visits
- Site Surveys
